The way we keep poultry in confined housing like coops and runs, makes
them more susceptible to becoming living hosts for topical parasites; mites in particular. Mites love
to live in coops and in the litter itself. They live off a bird's body, sappng their health, and possibly opening
the door for secondary illness.
Although DE is widely used as a pesticide,
DE cannot help with the little known mite, the depluming mite. It is a cousin to the scaly leg
mite, which likes to burrow into feather shafts where dry powders cannot go (including dust bathing). This unique formula
of herbs will not only saturate feather shafts, but repel parasites and heal the skin.
